Pastor Ken's Story
I come from the
My aunt who lived a luxurious life in another Province convinced my dad to have me educated with her children in their home. She was a strict disciplinarian. She would randomly visit my school to monitor my behavior! Oh how I hated that! It brought me shame each time.
My aunt and her family were Christians. They were active in church, and attended every church function and activity. My aunt saw to it that I always attended with them. I got baptized when I was in fifth grade. Many good changes were happening to me, but it was decided that I should be sent back to my parents.
The good changes were short-lived. Though my parents saw a glimmer of hope when I returned, Satan tripled his efforts in attacking my wicked ways. I became worse and even got "hooked" on drinking and drugs. Somehow I got through college with this problem and even became a popular athlete in school. I was good at hiding my vices.
I finished school and traveled to different parts of our country, meeting different types of people.
A series of crises in my life in
In time God called me to serve as the Assistant Pastor at our church. It's amazing how God has guided me! Otherwise I wouldn't be what I am now. The fact that he could take my sinful life, change me and call me to be a pastor is nothing short of a miracle.
I am excited at how God has continued to work in me. It is always my prayer that I will be a willing vessel for the Master's use. I know that Satan has the role of destruction in life, but I also know God's sustaining grace is always there. He has brought me this far in my walk with Him, so He'll carry me the rest of the way - this is LIFE ETERNAL!
It is a joy for my wife, Ruby, our children, Malachi and Hannah, and me to serve the Lord at Cornerstone.. As an assistant pastor and believer, my heart's desire is to share Jesus Christ with all those I meet, for He is the Answer to all of life's needs.
